April

April is the month of Blooming. I love flower season⚘, We have so many flowers in our yard that creates a beautiful palette of colors. I love making backyard bouquets💮

We had some creature features in April.  Casey wanted to keep the turtle and watch it grow into a full size turtle. Casey is fine with anything that doesn't eat or compromise his grass (squirrels/rabbits = bad).  Turtles are grass approved.  However, we decided to set the turtle free but enjoyed watching it for a few hours.

bright furry caterpillars everywhere

We were able to watch one of Josh's baseball games.  His team won!!

It made Janelle so nervous when Josh was stealing bases.  She didn't want to look😄

We had several beautiful sky days/evenings😍

Kaitlyn and I went to our local mall.  We heard the mall had been bought out and closed down, but apparently the pending sale didn't go through, so there are just a few stores still open.  It's a little ghost townish. So sad.  I used to go here all the time and shop. This year they even had the Easter Bunny there for pictures, but I heard nobody showed up.  People were there walking for exercise when Kaitlyn and I were there. End of an era😔

Casey did some tree trimming (of course)...

We had family come for Easter dinner.  And one night it was even warm enough for a hot dog roast.

At the park where I run at Christmas there is someone who decorates a tree.  I always love seeing it.  This year was the first year it was decorated for Easter.💚

And I started prepping for end of year gifts for our class...

March

We love to see March come. The weather starts warming up, and we begin to see color.  We enjoy working in the yard a bit more, and Casey finishes up his seasonal burns. It's a welcome change, and we enjoy it as much as we can!

It always feels so good to get out when the weather starts warming up🩷

March was also Read Across America week at school - my favorite!  I made up cute baggies for the kids to take home💓📚

It was warm enough one night we decided to roast hot dogs over a fire.  First roast of the season😋

And we celebrated Kaitlyn's birthday!!  Woohoo, Happy Birthday Kaitlyn🥳🎉
