Sometimes it's so hard. Life isn't always easy, but I love this sweet message to keep the faith. We are not alone(thank goodness), and through our Savior Jesus Christ we can accomplish all things.
“There is no doubt that it is around the family and the home that all the greatest virtues, the most dominating virtues of human society, are created, strengthened and maintained”--Winston Churchill

Easter
It was a combination of Easter and a birthday weekend. It was crazy busy and fun!
At Kaitlyn's request for her birthday dinner, Casey grilled her favorite chicken - a recipe he acquired during his years at Virginia Tech. It has become a family favorite!
Then it was on to the Easter egg hunt

Cody helped out with the hiding, can you tell??
And of course, coloring the eggs...
It was a beautiful weekend, and we enjoyed all of the festivities. But most of all we are so thankful for our Savior and his sacrifice for all of us. There is such hope in the knowledge of the Atonement and Resurrection. It is for all to partake of, and we are blessed to know that we will live again. Death is not final. We will be reunited with our loved ones once again to love and to be loved by them. I am thankful each day for this gift.

Birthday Girl
What? 20 years? It doesn't seem possible that Kaitlyn turned 20 today. It makes me feel really, really old. Where did the time go?
How I miss those days of cuddles(A rare moment). Kaitlyn was always on the go, and would not sit still for much. Casey called her squirrely girly, because anytime we tried to snuggle she was always trying to wiggle out of our arms.

License to Drive
We have a new driver in the house, and I couldn't be happier. It's amazing how much freedom one more driver lends to my schedule.
Good job Casey at taking pictures, since I was sick and couldn't - It's not something either of them enjoy, but they knew it was something I wanted.
Congratulations driver #4!

Weekend At The Beach
I have said it before, and I'll say it again, and again, and again....I LOVE the beach. It is one of my most very favorite places to be. The minute I walk out onto the sandy shore, I am at peace with the world. My troubles and cares dissipate, and I am happy.
I was so excited when Andy and Janelle invited us to come along on a weekend trip to Savannah. We were all going to go but a few had prior engagements, so Ryan and I were the lucky ones who were able to ride along.
Although temperatures were very cold that weekend, it was still fun to be able to enjoy everything Savannah/Tybee had to offer:
Beautiful scenery
Fresh seafood
Sweet treats
And great company.
It was a wonderful weekend at the beach - The 1st of 2013, and we hope for many more to come!
