Stevie Nicks Concert

Last week I was gifted a Stevie Nicks concert from a special friend.  Katy & I have known each other for years.  We have been indirectly connected through her mother and church.  She's a person that I've always felt comfortable around and a certain soul connection to.  With the loss of her mom she told me that she wanted to take me to an 80's concert(something her mom and I both loved).  It was an Ode to Chris evening.  So much fun!!  Thank you Katy💓 I know she was there with us in spirit🧡

It had rained most of the way there, but as we arrived to the venue the skies cleared, and it was a beautiful night in Atlanta.

Thank you my wonderful friend!  Such a great night💓

Nana's Heart

I have a special little friend who meets me at the fence every day across the playground.  I hear him calling my name and I go over and give him a squeeze.   He had a special Nana who was also my very special friend.  Last week when he called me over he said he had something for me.  He reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out this heart.  I said, "Oh Jay, what is that"  He said, "Nana's Heart" I said, "Awwww, I love it. Do you want me to have it, or do you want to keep it."  With a sweet little smile he said, "You to have it." So, I walked down and opened the gate and gave my little friend a great big hug. And then I cried a little💓

I went home and remembered a heart that his Nana had given me a few years earlier, and I felt like I was given a Heavenly hug that day. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact💓

Weekend Wedding

Cody's friend(AJ) was getting married, so Cody flew in for the weekend.  The wedding was Thursday evening about 3 hrs. away.  We moved away from were AJ lived when Cody was 9, but they've kept in touch over the years.

The rest of the weekend we enjoyed some of Cody's favorite eats and just chilled.

It was a fun quick visit💓

Santa Rosa Beach Girls Weekend

Labor Day weekend I spent four days in Florida with one of my besties.  It was my very 1st girl's trip, and it was so much fun. We stayed in a condo, spent all day at the beach, ate, walked and talked and talked and talked.  I didn't realize what I was missing until I did😊

Kids were finding a ton of jelly fish and digging a big hole for all of them.

Everything's better at the beach...even t-shirts(haha).  I always manage to find a few.

Found one of my favorites at the local Publix.  I wish our Publix had these!!!

The best eats are always at the beach!

They had walking paths that went on forever.  We walked each morning.  I wish I could start every morning this way...

Such a fun and relaxing trip.  She loves the beach as much as I do, so we spent as much time as we could by the water.  The 1st day we thought we'd rent an umbrella and chairs for 15-20$, so we didn't have to drag our own around, but they were $70-80 to rent.  We split the cost the 1st day, which was the day with the most direct sunlight.  We looked around at different stores for chairs but everyone wanted $50 and we weren't willing to pay that. So, we took our towels and enjoyed ourselves.  The weather cooperated and we didn't have as much direct sunlight the next couple days, so we didn't get burnt to a crisp(thankfully)😂

We said our goodbyes and headed home, but not before we stopped at a donut shop in Alabama that MaryAnn's co-worker told her about.  They were almost as good as my hometown favorite.  YUM!

Summer has officially ended 😢 But I do love the fall in GA.🍁🍂
