June - Blueberries, Amelia Island, and Summer Activities
June was the month of blueberries. We enjoyed many buckets of fresh blueberries this year. It was so nice. We made salads, muffins, pies, froze several bags and ate the rest. They were so good!!
We roasted and swam in June. Always a summer favorite.
A little birds nest blew into the pool during one of our storms🐦
Andy and crew were in New York for two weeks, so I enjoyed seeing their updates. Josh had a baseball tournament in Cooperstown. They went up a week early to enjoy Niagra Falls and New York City. My mom and I listened to a few of the games. Josh did really well. It was a fun experience for everyone.
Casey, Kaitlyn and I went to Atlanta and met up with Cody after one of his morning shifts. We found a cute bookstore and had lunch at Ponce City Market.
Loved the creative Artsy covers on some of these classics...
I've been cleaning, cleaning, cleaning this summer. I'm not sure why the cleaning bug has bit, but no corner is safe and I'm tearing apart cupboards and all the things to make sure it's all a more organized and CLEAN space.
Although, Casey told me I couldn't take anything apart again - My attempt to clean the inside of the glass(which apparently cannot be reached) of my oven. I took apart the oven door and put it back together wrong, so Casey had to reassemble(which apparently is not his favorite thing to do).
Casey had a work meeting down in Florida on Amelia Island, so I tagged along. I'm always up for a beach trip. It didn't disappoint. Everything is better at the beach!
We had to stop at Buckee's on the way down(of course).
Wish I could wake up to this view every.single.day!!
And the food is always so good.
These were the best calamari we've ever had, and we've had a lot. We try the calamari and key lime pie wherever we go:)
Not the best key lime, but it was still good.
A storm was brewing before we got to the restaurant. Usually pop up storms won't last that long in Florida, but this one lasted a good while. It was probably 1.5 hrs before it had completely blown through. The restaurant had blinds that came down and protected us from the rain(thankfully).
They had a lot of shops in the Fernando Beach area, so we walked around and found a cute bookstore.
We stayed a couple extra days to celebrate our upcoming 35th Anniversary💕
We also did some antique shopping in June and found a few treasure.
And Casey has been trying to keep the birds off our porch.
They keep finding ways into his blocked off spaces.
Hydrangea colors are a beautiful deep purple in June💜
This was a bit of a camouflage frog moment🐸
We also celebrated Father's Day. Our ring and yard camera notifications stay busy when Casey is home. if he's not hoeing, mowing or burning then he's inspecting. He's our #1 groundskeeper, and we love him for all that he does to keep the grounds tidy and our bat caves minimal😀💚🎉
