Savannah

Father's Day weekend we took a trip to Savannah.  Kaitlyn found an air bnb right on the square, in walking distance of all the fun shops.  Other than the fact that Savannah parties(very loudly) all night and the beds were less than comfortable, we had a great time(after everyone got ear plugs and arranged the beds differently)!! We booked a bus tour, reserved lunch at the pink house, spent a day in Tybee, and enjoyed all the scenery Savannah has to offer.

We thought about getting ice cream at Leopold's, because we heard it was really good but the lines went on forever.  It didn't matter what time of the day or what day it was, the lines were crazy long.  Too long for us to wait an hour in the blazing heat for some ice cream, so we opted out.

A Savannah treasure💗

We had plenty of pralines😻

The pink house is part of Savannahs history, so during lunch the waitress told us stories and gives us a little bit of the history.  At the end of lunch we are free to independently tour the rest of the house.  It was really cool!  You can read more about it HERE

Our day in Tybee was fun.  We spent the morning/early afternoon on the beach and then ventured over to the lighthouse.  We ate dinner at one of our family favorites The Crab Shack and fed some alligators.  So fun and so delicious!!

I could post a lot of flashback photos of eating here over the years.  It's such a fun place to eat. You can eat outside or inside and it's right on the river.  We always choose outside.  The food is delicious and the experience is priceless.  It was super busy, and we didn't think we'd actually get a table.  The parking was impossible, so Casey let me out and I stood in line(not that long) and got us a table.  It was worth it.  Always so much fun!

The master at shelling crab....Kaitlyn Marie

These are another must have picture when we go to the crab shack.  I might add some blasts from the past later.  So fun.  This was Alex's first visit, so he was checking out everyone else's pose😂

This next series of pictures crack me up.  This first one is 3yr. old Kaitlyn face not wanting to take this picture, but then as they progress she decides she's all in(sort of).  It was my request by the open mouth alligator.  Thanks Kaitlyn😂

And the obligatory one with the big crab! I swear I'm going to find all of them over the years and put them in here - stay tuned👀😃

We were also able to go inside St. John's Cathedral.  It was beautiful.  We thought about going to a Sunday service, but they were still not meeting in person and only doing virtual.

We continued walking and shopping on the squares.  We found a cute bookstore, honey stores, and a store that makes everything out of cork.  So fun!

We ate here twice!  It's amazing!  If you're ever in Savannah I highly recommend it! 10/10⭐

The Pedal Pub.  You pedal as you party😂 We saw these all over.

Someone lost something....

Love the cobblestone streets

So many ports in Savannah with big ships coming and going constantly.

It was hard to say good-bye!  Thank you Savannah!!!
