Christmas a little late...

It's been awhile since I've posted. I've meant to update much sooner, but life has a way of taking over and I don't end up with time for things I want or intend to do.

We had a wonderful Christmas with everyone home. It's always so nice to have some down time for visiting and just being together, and Christmas always allows us that time.

We made our gingerbread houses again this year. We decided to incorporate the glue gun, thinking it would give us more stability. However, in the long run it gave false hope for firmer foundations, which led to a few of the thoughtful creations collapsing under too much pressure, but it was still fun.

Ryan wasn't happy he was "banished" to the kids table, and I had to hang a sheet over the windows, because the sun was making everyone too warm(so don't pay attention to the make-shift curtains in the pictures).

Great job guys! Another successful year in the books!!

Christmas day was fun and everyone enjoyed their new toys and gifts. And thankfully it didn't rain too much. We've had loads and loads of rain, but Christmas was dry. Hallelujah!!

Casey and Andy managed to build a storage for our wood(his 1st pinterest project) between the rain storms. Josh was also a good helper in the outdoor projects. He made sure to tell me that grandpa let him use his "big saw" - It's sure nice to have helpers!

This is a picture of our burn pit...filled with rain water(the reason we couldn't burn). We dumped our Christmas tree out a few days after Christmas, but couldn't burn it for a few weeks.

Happy New Year!!! - We partied, played games, ate good food, and set off some fireworks. Josh was so excited and wanted to do every single one - we obliged most of the time☺

Kaitlyn was able to stay a week longer after everyone left, and before I had to go back to work. It was so nice, because I sure needed the extra help. We cleaned up Christmas, caught up on laundry/cleaning and enjoyed the time visiting and finding some good eats! Thank you Kaitlyn!!

Spring hasn't sprung quite yet, but I'm already looking forward to summer and more visits with family. We miss and love them all💓💓💓💓
