March Spring and Things

March went by faster than I expected it to.  We had a birthday and Easter to celebrate as well as a lot of good views. The colors of spring are beginning so show themselves, and I'm loving it!

A heart shaped humming bird nest below in our blueberry bushes😍

                                                         Some beautiful morning runs...

                                                             Sunrise view from work....

The backyard sunsets are beautiful

It's also pollen season IYKYK...

Casey and Kaitlyn started a puzzle.  Ryan & I finished it(Casey was not happy about that).  I guess we were suppose to let him finish the puzzle since he did most of the work(oops)👀

Alex was the first March Birthday that we celebrated...

Kaitlyn wanted to eat lunch at a Korean BBQ for her birthday, so we did that and came back to have cake.  It was a lemon specialty cake from Cecilia's cake here in Athens. It was beautiful and delicious.

I bought some sparkle candles that soon started acting like fire crackers and making a mess on Kaitlyn's pretty cake, so we started removing them quickly...😅

Played a game of Life, which I won in my little pink car full of peeps traveling the world on my yacht - lol(if only)…

Ry and I colored a few eggs. I love how the colors turned out with the brown eggs.

Happy Birthday to our Kaitlyn Girl.  She's beautiful, fun, smart, sassy, talented and a great travel planner (if you want to plan a trip...she's the best)💜💛💙💚🎂

Ode to March....

Casey's Burn Jacket

It was still wet, but Casey wanted to burn.  This was a different kind of burn with a sad parting of sorts.  Casey has had a "burn" jacket for several years.  Anything that wears out he retires as his "work/burn" wardrobe.  This particular jacket is 36 years old. It has quite the history.  He bought it while we were dating.  It has more holes in it than fires he's started, but today he decided it was time. Time to say goodbye.  If you know Casey you know he doesn't do this often.  His favorite saying is, "Use it up, wear it out, make do, or do without" and that he does!  Stitching up tears, pathing up holes, and wearing our shoes wayyyy past their prime.  Ry said we should've been playing Taps.  Honestly, all the kids should've been here to witness this event. It's a jacket we've all teased him about over the years.  Should've had it framed and put into "Casey's things" museum/box, but I guess burning it seemed more appropriate😅🔥

Christmas 2023

Everyone was here for Christmas.  We had a lot of fun decorating cookies, bowling, and viewed the Christmas lights at Botanical garden.  It was pretty cold/wet this year, so there wasn't a lot of outside play that happened.  We didn't even get a fire in this year(bummer).  But Santa came and we all had some good family time together💓🎅🎄

Before everyone arrived I made Christmas candy with a friend.  It was the first time in a long time I've made any candy.  It was fun and everyone enjoyed it.

Kaitlyn and Alex purchased tickets to a Christmas concert the weekend before everyone arrived. We did dinner and a concert.  It was a fun night out!

We rode a bus to get into the gardens where the Christmas lights were displayed. We all managed to get the back to ourselves coming and going...Just how we like it😀

We did some "Then and Now" photos, which is always so crazy(and sad) to look at.  Where does the time go?!?!?!?!

💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓

A night of bowling...I was not the high scorer.  And Josh was quite impressive without the bumpers!

                                                      Some pictures with my peeps....

Dinner at Sr. Sol a couple times is a must...

*****GAMES*****

Nobody blew out all the candles.  The most we got was the 2nd to last.  Almost, but not quite. There was one more candle after the last one shown in the pictures.

                                                          Let the decorating begin....

Kaitlyn made a delicious and beautiful charcuterie board.

Cody made some delicious meals while he was here, and this Ramen was a favorite...

And nothing beats a trip to Jeni's Ice Cream😋

I made a new dessert that turned out to be really good.  It was a Cranberry cheesecake pie  I got from my sister in law's food blog, Most Delicious Life- Click here for link to food blog

                                                                              Before...

After...

A fun time was had by all, even though it looked like this most of the time...

And by the end we all felt like this....

It was still a very MERRY CHRISTMAS(and went by wayyyy to fast!)🎄🎄🎄
