Cinnamon Rolls

Last week I mentioned I was going to make Chili.  Casey immediately asked if I was also making cinnamon rolls.  That was something I did a lot while the kids were growing up.  My favorite meal on the elementary school lunch menu was always chili and cinnamon rolls.  The cinnamon rolls tasted like they were homemade and definitely was the star of the (lunch)show, but because of the time it takes and trying to eat healthier, I haven't done it in awhile at home.  I think the last time I did was in 2019, and I also posted about it.  So maybe once a year is my average these days!!😋

I posted the last picture on social media and it received a lot of responses from my hometown school peeps. It is definitely a memory treasured by more than just me💓

Here is the recipe in case anyone is interested.  The numbers I wrote in are just doubling the recipe.  Most of the time I need a visual, so I remember😅

Family Day In The Mountains

We spent the weekend in the mountains with Andy, Janelle and the boys.  It's always so fun in the fall with the colors, the food, the smells, and taking in the beauty of the mountains. Our first stop was Burt's Pumpkin Patch.  It's becoming more of a challenge to get pictures with everyone.  The boys are older and don't really think taking pictures is a fun activity.  There's a very short span of time when they don't care, and we are definitely out of that phase with all three.

But, we still managed to get some good ones(thanks boys💓)!

Our next stop was Amicalola Falls.  It was a beautiful day out and the walk wasn't too far or strenuous, so we walked up to the Falls, and took more pictures(AGAIN😅).

The views while driving through the mountains are amazing, especially this time of year.

We found an apple orchard that wasn't too crowded and took a few more pictures with our ever-so-willing participants(AGAIN).

We stopped for MORE pictures at the lookout, which is always a beautiful view anytime of the year.

And we spent some time reading these...

Our last stop was in Ellijay at one of our favorites!  They had live music playing and have the best fall treats.  There is always a line to their home made fruit pies, and their cider is always amazing!  We splurged and also took home some apple cider donuts! Love all the fall eats & treats.  It's some of the very best!!

I took these images off google.  If you're ever in the area, you should stop!  Everything there is amazing!!
