Casey had been waiting and waiting and waiting to burn. It was too dry and then it was too wet, but finally conditions were optimal and he could do his most favorite chore/hobby....burn. He has told the neighbors they can bring their piles over to our yard and we will burn them, and so we did. We have a gated fence, so Casey also went over and got the rest of their piles in their yard as well. So nice of him. It was a good burn day. Andy and I were the safety patrol.

Thanksgiving
We had a nice Thanksgiving with family. The weather cooperated and the boys were able to play some baseball outside.
We wanted Casey to grill his dad's smoked turkey recipe. It didn't turn out as good as his chicken does, so we decided next year we would just go with chicken for Thanksgiving. Casey's chicken trumps all!
Earlier in the week I made a Maple cream pie that was really good. My sister in law has a blog that she and her mom post recipes on. I've gotten several recipes from their site. You can find them on Instagram/Most Delicious Life. The pie was a big hit, and Casey declared it a new Thanksgiving tradition.
It's always hard to say goodbye to Fall. The beautiful weather and colors don't last nearly long enough.
Until next year glorious Autumn🍂🍁🍃
