Someone had a birthday last week.
Someone turned 11.

Someone wanted to pick out his gifts this year.
(And so he did - but only 1)
Someone wanted an ice cream cake.
Someone does not like to pose for pictures anymore.
Someone had a very Happy Birthday and wanted it to last all week!
