We started out the month of May traveling to North Carolina for a wedding of the son of our good friends, the Ouzts. We love this family! Ethan and our Cody have been roommates this past year in college. They both returned home from their missions within a month of each other and were also were married within a week of each other. They've been friends since they were young boys in cub scouts, and even though we've both moved they've kept in contact through the years and have remained close.
The evening before the wedding they hosted a barbecue dinner with family and friends, ending with sparklers and Gracie at the mic. It was fun and very delicious!!
The cute couple♥
We even managed a few selfies with the family...
And then we tried a few selfies of our own...for some reason Cody has a hard time remaining calm, and Casey wanted to fix his hair(It was really windy). Even though we are pretty much adults at this point, it is still a struggle to have everyone focused and smiling at the same time. I try.
It's the first time we've been to the Raleigh Temple, so it was fun to be able to attend the ceremony and spend time with friends. It was beautiful, and we are excited for them as they embark on this new journey together. I love weddings. They make me happy♥
At some point we found a flower that was being passed around during pictures. My cute boys in attendance♥
On our way home we met up for a late lunch with some friends that recently moved to North Carolina. It was fun to reconnect and visit.
It was a wonderful weekend in North Carolina with great people!! We came home and had exactly one week to prepare for our own wedding...stay tuned...
