Casey had another work trip to the beach. We seriously debated on not going to this one, because Ryan was just getting back from a church youth trip(long bus ride to Nauvoo and back), and Casey would be leaving the day after returning to more work meetings in Texas. However, Casey had several people tell him this was "THE" trip to go on. They told tales of private beaches, delicious seafood, and finding a zillion shark teeth(easily). That was pretty much all it took, and Casey was hooked. The idea of finding one, let alone a zillion shark teeth had Casey packed and ready to go. The first day we were there Casey only found one tooth, and he looked hard for it. He was a little discouraged and wasn't too hopeful in fulfilling his life long dream of having his own collection, of not just one, but many shark teeth. As the week progressed Ryan joined in on the fun and before they knew it they had quite the assortment of teeth. Casey was VERY HAPPY😊.
I only found 3 shark teeth. It's a very tedious job and my eyes quickly got tired/strained, but one of my favorite beach activities is finding shells. They are bigger and not as hard to find. Last beach trip we took in June I came home with a nice big jar of beautiful shells. This beach offered the same amount of shell finding. They had very tiny shells along the shoreline. You couldn't see them, but if you dug into the sand they were there. It was so much fun!
The early mornings were beautiful, and I even managed to get myself up to run. It was amazing, and I will do it every time we go to the beach. The sounds, the scenery, the air - it's such a mind altering experience that brings peace of mind, body and spirit like nothing else can♥
The beach is also great for taking pictures, so we did that too. Casey and Ryan weren't always thrilled or willing participants, but we managed to get a few...
So sad to leave. It was a fun few days spent together at the beach. I'm already looking forward to our next beach vacation. #beachtrip2019😎
