March Update - Memes

This was the post that I was going to talk about how much rain we've had this winter. It was A lot, but it seems so insignificant now compared to what has been happening the last 3 weeks with the coronavirus. We are now experiencing a shelter in place, which was implemented by our Governor in the state of Georgia, which means we don't go anywhere other than to the store(as needed - minimal-once a week or less), those that work in essential occupations(grocery stores, doctors, nursers, ect...) and to exercise. All gyms are closed, so thankfully our park has left the walking/running path open as long as people practice "social distancing" - no more than 5-10 people together(depending on where(state/counties have different regulations) you are) and remain 6 ft. apart. School has been cancelled and the kids have been doing online learning. Businesses have been closed, appointments have been rescheduled, and restaurants are take-out only. Casey is working from home. We are heading into week 4. Stores are struggling to keep shelves stocked. People are panicking - leaving the toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, rice/beans, cereals, and several other aisles empty. I'm make-up free and minimal amount of effort is made for getting ready each day(which is actually nice). This week is spring break, and we were supposed to be going to Savannah with Andy, Janelle and the boys, but alas we are staying home. It has been an adjustment, but we are managing. This is a serious illness and we are trying our best to stay well and away, so we don't contribute to the spread of the virus. Hopefully the Georgia heat kills it off sooner than later, but until then we are at going to remain home-bound and hopefully stay healthy and well, trying to be productive in getting projects finished(and we have many - that's a whole other post).

First I'll include the wet winter pictures and memes, followed by the most recent memes pertaining to our current existence.

I think all the rain has made it harder for people to adjust to the new normal of "shelter in place" - It was wet for so long, and now spring has come and we want to celebrate and be outside, but there are restrictions. So, we try to find the light in our own spaces. Here are pictures of our projects, memes, and activities we are doing to keep ourselves entertained during our new normal.

And I love getting pictures, since our spring break together was cancelled♥

STAY WELL PEEPS♥
