It's always a fun week in Florida. We stopped in Savannah on our way down(and back)for lunch and some shopping.
Kaitlyn told us about a cute bookstore, so we made a quick stop to check it out. It was so fun! I love bookstores. They are all so unique and different. This one had a few cool cats hanging around.
Our favorite seafood boil...
We got there late afternoon. It started out a little rocky with our room's air conditioning not working. We were promptly moved into another room, where the safe wouldn't stop beeping. We were worried we'd be moved once again, but they just removed the batteries from the safe, and we were good to go(thankfully).
Casey and Ryan got started right away looking for shark teeth. Ryan found most of them this year. They were a hard find, and Casey became frustrated early on. It was also record heat this year. Usually Florida will have storms every night we are there. This year we had none. It was a "heat wave" while we were there, and we felt it😅
Mornings are always the best time (in my opinion). It's not too hot, and the view is always amazing and changes by the minute.
There's nothing better than running/walking next to the waves and soaking in all of the energy the ocean has to offer. It's all so sensory, and I LOVE it. It's breathtaking each and every time. I can't get enough!
The waves were really good this year for boogie boarding. I can only handle so much of the body thrashing before becoming the photographer instead of a participant. I'm quickly aging out of the contact sports😌
There's nothing better than fresh seafood. Growing up on the ocean I miss it so much!
The last night there we always attend a dinner with an awards ceremony and prizes. It was delicious and Alex even won a door prize(a nice yeti cooler). After dinner we headed to the beach for some family photos.
Ryan pretending to take our pictures but actually taking selfies.
Until next year Ponte Vedra💙
