Bob The Builder.....

I am not! Let's just say this was a day for father's to volunteer their time in the classroom, but since Casey is in Iowa I opted to step in & help with the Lowe's Build And Grow project. I was one of two mom's(the rest were dads) out of a classroom of 18 that came this morning to help put together trucks & Dune-buggies(thank goodness we didn't get one of those, or I'd have been there ALL morning). I think Ryan(mom) was a little intimidated by all hammering going on. I really wish I would've gotten a picture of all of the pieces to assemble, but Ryan just wanted to get busy(no pictures mom).

OUR MAP OF DIRECTIONS:

Lowe's provided the a cool tool apron and safety goggles for the kids to wear while assembling their projects, which they were also able to take home - Ryan did the hammering while I tried to figure out where everything went. Aside from the wet wipe & band-aid I needed, we managed to get the project finished with minimal injury.

GREAT JOB RYAN!

Fall Festival

A fear of spiders, snakes, and any other crawling creature I COMPLETELY understand, but a fear of helium balloons throws me for a loop. Ryan has this unexplainable fear of helium balloons, and he will tell you it's because he thinks they are going to fly away & get tangled up or make other things get tangled....so I'm not really sure why that's so scary, but he goes CRAZY at the site of any flying balloons. It doesn't matter where we are. He becomes completely irrational & unmanageable. Today was no exception, as we went to our county's fall festival full of MANY fun & festive helium balloons. For the first 1/2 hour he walked around in a daze, feeling as though he was surrounded by his own worst nightmare. I'm sure people wondered what we had done to this poor child.

He Began to get better as time went on (30-40 min.). We tried to distract him with some work of a local taxidermist.

A few of our favorites....

Gyros, frozen lemonade, and kettle corn

Ryan has recoverd....Thank you cotton candy!

A Good Time had by all!

Pumpkin Patch

A local farm has a pumpkin patch with several activities for families to enjoy.

We took Kailtyn & Emma to the corn maze, which takes about an hour to get through. They do it at night, so it makes it more difficult to navigate and makes for more fun (I guess).

Ryan & I opted to wait for the girls, but we went back a couple days later with a friend to pick some pumpkins.

Georgia vs Vanderbelt

We went to the UGA's girls soccer game tonight. It's free admission, free t-shirts, free prizes (if you catch one), so it was a pretty good deal!

It's amazing how fast they play the ENTIRE game.

Kaitlyn caught a t-shirt, and Emma almost caught a ball...well it almost hit her in the head, so she moved & the girl behind her caught it.

Popcorn & a drink...a MUST HAVE to keep Ryan entertained!

WE WON!

Bike-ride

Ryan received his first 2-wheel(minus the training wheels) bike this year. He was very excited to get on it & go for a ride.

It took him a little bit to get the whole brake/peddle thing going...

but he thinks it's cool to have a bike like Cody's now!

Golden Spoon

Ryan was excited about going to school, but he hadn't been to pre-school, so the 7-8 hour school day was a bit much. He would come home exhausted & go to bed an hour earlier than usual for the first month. Thankfully, he has a wonderful teacher who has all kinds of great incentives to keep the kids excited about being in school. One of Ryan's favorites is "The Golden Spoon Award" The golden spoon is given to the student who is the quietest during lunchtime. They are given time to talk at lunch, but when the music goes on they are suppose to stop talking & eat their lunches (otherwise lunches don't get eaten). They also get other special privileges during the day as the "Golden Spoon Winner." Ryan has made it his personal goal to win it the most times. So far he has won it 5 times, and he knows EXACTLY how many times everyone in his class has won it as well. If he misses a day of school, he makes sure to ask his teacher who the winner was while he was gone. We are so thankful for great kindergarten teachers!

This is the place

Instead of sending dozens of different e-mails with attachments, we have found a way to centrally locate our activities. This is the place you will now find the most recent(hopefully) goings on within the GA Ritz Family.
