Golden Spoon
Ryan was excited about going to school, but he hadn't been to pre-school, so the 7-8 hour school day was a bit much. He would come home exhausted & go to bed an hour earlier than usual for the first month. Thankfully, he has a wonderful teacher who has all kinds of great incentives to keep the kids excited about being in school. One of Ryan's favorites is "The Golden Spoon Award" The golden spoon is given to the student who is the quietest during lunchtime. They are given time to talk at lunch, but when the music goes on they are suppose to stop talking & eat their lunches (otherwise lunches don't get eaten). They also get other special privileges during the day as the "Golden Spoon Winner." Ryan has made it his personal goal to win it the most times. So far he has won it 5 times, and he knows EXACTLY how many times everyone in his class has won it as well. If he misses a day of school, he makes sure to ask his teacher who the winner was while he was gone. We are so thankful for great kindergarten teachers!

Great job Ryan! You keep up the good work. I can't wait to see how many more you get of the Golden Spoons before Christmas. You will have to keep me posted.
